AMATRICIANA SAUCE 200 GR
A traditional dish from the Lazio region, Amatriciana (matriciana in Roman dialect) is a pasta sauce made with guanciale (cured pork jowl) sautéed in extra virgin olive oil and simmered with dry white wine, tomatoes, and a pinch of salt. The predecessor of Amatriciana is considered to be “Gricia,” which is the same sauce prepared without the addition of tomatoes. Although there is an original recipe formalized by the municipality of Amatrice, different versions of the recipe exist depending on the towns where this dish is ordered. We have therefore created one of the most well-known recipes in Italy and around the world using carefully selected ingredients. We’ve added premium ingredients like 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil and Cervia sea salt to the Emilian tomato sauce to give your dishes flavor and character.
