RUM HEART COLLECTION 2003 100% POT STIL 63° 700 ML

For the Hearts Collection, Appleton Estate’s Master Blender, Joy Spence, selected 10 rums from different vintages from among the nearly 200,000 aging in the company’s stock—one of the largest in the world. During a trip to Jamaica, she and Luca Gargano (owner of Velier) met at the distillery and, there, on their own, conducted a blind tasting: without knowing it, they both selected the same rums as their favorites, and those very rums became the stars of this special release, the Hearts Collection, straight to the hearts of enthusiasts!

Distilled in a Forsyth still in 2003 and bottled in 2021 in a limited run of just 5,000 bottles, this rum boasts a brilliant bronze color and offers aromas of dried flowers and vanilla, caramelized hazelnut, cocoa and butter, spices, and burnt caramel. It caresses the palate with warmth and smoothness; the sweet and toasty aromas are fully reflected on the palate, accompanying a finish reminiscent of raw cane sugar and salted caramel.
