VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO "MAGNA MORA" 2019 1500 ML
All Ugolini wines are crus and come from distinct historic vineyards, and each wine is a unique expression of its individual vineyard. The philosophy is to bring out the terroir, the identity of the place where the vineyard grows: a synthesis between the highest expression of native varieties and the individual parcel.
The inspiration for the Magna Mòra wines comes from the stories told by the Ugolini brothers' grandparents, from their way of making wine in Valpolicella. Each wine once blended the best of several vineyards, always respecting the ripening times and characteristics of the varieties.
The grapes come from five estate-owned vineyards in the Fumane Valley, at altitudes ranging from 160 to 650 meters above sea level and trained using espalier or Veronese pergola systems. After pressing and subsequent fermentation, the wine begins a 20-month period of maturation and aging, which enhances its drinkability and aromatic complexity.
