'SORACUNA' BARDOLINO CLASSICO DOC 2023 750 ML

Villa Calicantus is a small biodynamic winery in Calmasino, in the heart of the Bardolino Classico region, just steps from southeastern Lake Garda. The winery practices high-quality viticulture. Respect for the vines and the soil, uncompromising work in the vineyard, and long aging in the cellar allow for the production of unique wines that reflect the terroir, the blend, and the vintage from which they originate.

SORACUNA is Villa Calicantus's everyday red wine. The grapes come from three vineyard parcels planted in Veronese pergolas on the hills just above the town of Bardolino. Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, and a pinch of Merlot are fermented and aged in concrete barrels.

The name SORACUNA comes from two local dialect words, "SORA" and "CUNA," meaning "ABOVE" and "CRADLE": "andar de SORA CUNA," in our town, means going to a party at the home of a newborn.
